Supported Audio Formats

Heavy audio compression may result in fidelty loss and may have strong impact on transcript accuracy. For best accuracy results, Norcom Solutions Group recommends the following codecs:

  • G711

  • Un-compressed PCM WAV

 

 

Norcom Solutions Group is also capable of extracting audio from these media file formats. Accuracy loss is expected if the audio formats contains heavy compression.

- WMA 9 (WMAv3), Voxware audio, ACELP.net etc (using x86 DLLs)
- RealAudio: COOK, SIPRO, ATRAC3 (using Real libraries)
- RealAudio: DNET and older codecs
- QuickTime: Qclp, Q-Design QDMC/QDM2, MACE 3/6 (using QT libraries), ALAC
- Ogg Vorbis audio
- VIVO audio (g723, Vivo Siren) (using x86 DLL)
- alaw/ulaw, (ms)gsm, pcm, *adpcm and other simple old audio formats

Audio Length

Voicemail-to-text: for effective processing and responsive service, unless otherwise agreed, Norcom Solutions Group processes only first two minutes of any voicemail audio received.
